Tony Trudnowski -- Butte, MT -- Mechanical Engineering
On Montana Tech: "Montana Tech has made the last 5 years the most exciting, educational, and enjoyable time of my life. The small campus environment allowed me to develop close personal relationships with professors and fellow students that played a vital role in my development as a student and as an athlete. The courses here are interesting, challenging, and designed to give you an education that prepares you to succeed in whatever field you study. The professors are friendly, committed, and selfless. Whether it was going out of their way to help accommodate my busy student-athlete schedule, or giving me 1-on-1 help on a particular assignment that I at first did not fully understand, I will forever appreciate the time and effort they put forth for students like me. Choosing to attend Montana Tech is best the decision I ever made."
On Oredigger Basketball: "Playing for the Montana Tech basketball team was a dream of mine ever since I was in 5th grade. The Tech uniform represents a program full of pride, history, and achievement that I am happy to be a part of. The coaching staff does their job with honor, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. The oredigger community is full of fun, enthusiastic, and helpful fans that are always going out of their way to cheer, encourage, and contribute everything they can to help Digger athletics. Most importantly, the Tech basketball team is like a family. Some of the best and closest relationships I will ever have in my life are with my former teammates and coaches."

Stephen Thomas -- Missoula, MT -- Civil Engineering
On Montana Tech: "Montana Tech is second to none. It would be very easy to overlook Tech while looking for an avenue to further your education because of the university’s size or perhaps its location. However, those things in fact make Tech the great school that it is. At Tech, I was not just another student attending classes; I was a person each professor took the time to get to know. They were not only there to help me achieve my ambition to become a civil engineer but were also there to support me as a student/athlete. The individual attention I received throughout my collegiate career was above reproach. As far as location, Butte, with its rich history, is a community that rallies around Tech, its students and its athletes. Butte is proud of Tech, and it works to provide students with a great college atmosphere. I am glad I chose to attend Tech and am proud to be an alumnus of this institution of higher learning."
On Oredigger Basketball: "Playing college basketball is any young basketball players dream. Furthering my basketball career at Montana Tech was the best choice I could have made. The program pushes for success on the court just as much as it does in the classroom. In my five years playing at Montana Tech, I have noticed significant improvements. Tech is now competing against the top teams in the Frontier Conference year after year. Being a part of the Montana Tech Basketball has taught me mental toughness and a “can-do” attitude. I worked for a spot on the roster as a freshman and sophomore and over time I earned it. Most importantly, Montana Tech Basketball taught me what it is like to be a part of a “TEAM” with a winning attitude, something that I can take with me for the rest of my life."

Casey Briggs -- Butte, MT -- Civil Engineering
On Montana Tech: "I couldn’t be happier with the education Montana Tech has provided me. On top of being one of the best engineering schools in the area, the professors are very helpful and understanding of student-athletes. Most were lenient with homework due dates and allowed make-up tests as I was on the road often. I also enjoyed the small campus environment because it allowed one-on-one time with your teachers and allowed you to form good friendships with fellow students. Also, the Career Service program at Tech is very good about getting students internships and eventually a career in your field."
On Oredigger Basketball: "Montana Tech basketball is founded upon hard work & team. The coaching staff pushes you very hard on and off the court. Whether it’s having a program in the off-season or helping you with school, your coaches are always there for you. Throughout my basketball career I became great friends with my teammates as well. You end up spending a lot of time with them throughout the season and they become brothers to you. I also had the opportunity to be a student coach my 5th year to help out on that end. If I had to do it all over again, I would have made the same decision to play for the Orediggers."

Nate Harris -- Ronan, MT -- Mathematics
On Montana Tech:"Montana Tech was the best decision I could have made concerning my college education. The education you receive is second to none, from the professors to the support staff, every employee’s main concern is your education. No matter the department, you are sure to be receiving first class instruction. Aside from being a great place to come and grow as a student, Montana Tech is a great place to come and grow as a person. The friends, the memories, and the lessons learned are things that you will never forget. Never for one second have I regretted coming to Montana Tech!"
On Oredigger Basketball: "Montana Tech Basketball was an awesome experience for me, in particular my last year. I had the privilege of playing with great players and great people. Montana Tech basketball is trying to give a new meaning to the word "Team". The friendships formed on the hardwood will last forever. Also, the lessons learned will stay with you and make you a better person. Work ethic, responsibility, determination, and toughness are traits that will help you no matter where you are in your life; and it is these very traits that Oredigger Basketball is founded upon. Without a doubt becoming an Oredigger has made me a better person than I was before."

Matt Nottingham -- Helena, MT -- Biology
On Montana Tech: " Montana Tech was one of the best decisions I made when transferring from Miles Community College. Not only are the professors extremely good at teaching but also very understanding to the student-athletes and their schedules. Whenever I needed extra help or an extension on an assignment, they were always willing to do what they could to help. Another plus side about Montana Tech is that it's centrally located. A trip to larger cities around the state is only at the most a few hours away. Fishing, skiing and NCAA Div. I sports are in close proximity to Butte. Catching a Griz or Cat game on the weekend was always an option. Tech was a wise decision and I'm glad I'll be receiving my degree from here."
On Oredigger Basketball: "Basketball at Montana Tech was a great experience for me. The coaching was great and the work ethic developed from this program is irreplaceable. My teammates were like brothers to me: traveling on the road was always a good time. The coaches have an open door policy and want to help with any problems you have; and in return they expect you to practice everyday with intensity. The stories I have from the last two years are unforgettable, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to play basketball for Montana Tech."

Billy Williams -- Ronan, MT -- Business & Information Technology
On Montana Tech: "Montana Tech is a great institute for advancing yourself in whatever field you are entering. It has a great and helpful faculty that is for the most part very understanding of the needs of a student athlete and are pretty willing to work with us around our travel schedules. The school has great placement for after graduation as well, in that you will pretty much get a job in whatever field you would like with your degree. Tech also has great internship opportunities, which I have taken advantage of for two summers working in California for Kiewit. It was a great opportunity and a great learning experience which every student should take advantage of during school."
On Oredigger Basketball: "I have been in the Montana Tech basketball program for 5 years and it has really taken a turn for the best over the past year. We have a really good weightlifting program now and put a lot of effort into getting stronger in the off-season. We have a good system with very knowledgeable coaches that are willing to go the extra mile for us as players and also just as people. They push us to be our best and don't settle for less than our best effort every single day. This program means a lot to me and I hope to see it prosper in the years to come."

Maurice Williams -- Ocilla, GA -- Business & Information Technology
On Montana Tech: "Over the past two years, I have learned that Montana Tech is a great school for education. The people here are very friendly, the classes are challenging, and instructors and tutors are readily available for 1-on-1 time. If you graduate from Tech, you are guaranteed a job with the near 100% placement rate. The campus is not as big as other universities, but you will have a great college experience at Tech. Being a student-athlete at Tech would also prepare you for a successful life after college and basketball. "
On Oredigger Basketball: "Our basketball program competes as hard as possible every year. We play some of the top schools the NAIA has to offer in addition to a few NCAA Division I schools. Our coaches push us to succeed on and off the basketball floor and love you as a person and a student-athlete. This season our program has moved in a new direction; as a result, we are competiing for a conference championship and the chance to play in the NAIA National Tournament."
