Oredigger Basketball at Carroll College -- 8:00 PM
Montana Tech Men's Basketball will look to rebound from a poor shooting performance in a 69-58 loss at Rocky Mtn. College on Thursday. The 'Diggers played well on the defensive end of the floor but shot an anemic 35% from the field including only 6 of 26 from the 3-point stripe. Tech men rough up Northern
By Bill Foley, of The Montana Standard
It was throw-back night at the “Great Western” HPER Complex at Montana Tech.
A game coached by two former Orediggers and disciples of ex-Tech coach Rick Dessing, the Montana Tech-MSU-Northern game came down to defense.
The Orediggers held the edge, especially in the second half, and Montana Tech got a “huge” 68-64 victory over the Lights.
The tell-tale story of the game is the stat line of Northern Guard Delvaughn Tinned.
In the first half, Tinned, a junior from Seattle, scored 20 points to lead the Lights to a 33-29 halftime lead.
In the second half, Tinned scored zero. Zilch. Nada.

Larson picked to Lead "Diggers

good wasnt enough. So in the fall of 2000, Larson, 31, quit
his job of 16 months in Arizona to become the assistant boys
basketball coach at Whitehall High School. I just wasnt
happy in that job, the Cut Bank native said. I always
thought about getting back to coaching. Some five and a half
years later, Larson is the head mens basketball coach at his
