Lady Diggers Drop Westminster

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Orediggers of Montana Tech are coming home a very, happy, volleyball team.

On Saturday, the Tech ladies pull out a 3-2 (18-25, 25-18, 28-26, 22-25, 15-11) road win at Westminster College to win their second consecutive Frontier Conference road match and improve their record to 12-4 overall and 2-1 in league play.

After 16 matches on the road, the Tech team wrapped up their travels in style and will return home this week to begin the home part of their schedule finally on Thursday against Rocky Mountain College.

Against the host Griffons, Korey Krumm led the way with 13 kills, while Jordan Danz finished with 12 kills, and Annie Smoot chipped in with 10 kills. Sydney Norris and Bailie Cortner added eight kills apiece.

Allison Lunde had 24 assists while Mackenzie Bauck added 23. Defensively, Kimmy Kavran scooped up 36 digs and Norris added 21.

Tech finished with 12 total team blocks to help them to the big road win.
