Run and Gun Club
Dear Montana Tech Women’s Basketball Supporter,
As you can see we have decided to change the name of our program’s fundraising club. The all new Run and Gun Club is an important part of making Oredigger women’s basketball the class of the Frontier Conference. We want people to be excited about our women’s basketball program here at Tech and this is one of the ways in which you can show your support. Our goal this year is to have 100 members of our new Run and Gun Club.
Our coaching staff is excited about the future here at Montana Tech! This year we have 10 returning players and three incoming freshman, and one transfer. All of them have been working hard to put Montana Tech Women’s Basketball back on top. Our first game is October 11th and from there we will be playing games in Washington State, Idaho, Florida, North Dakota, Utah and of course our annual Peg Sarsfield Thanksgiving Classic here in Butte. If you are close to any of these locations we would love to see you there to cheer us on. We are working very hard to make Montana Tech women’s basketball something special, but in order to achieve our goals, we need your support!
The Run and Gun Club helps our program fund expenses such as travel costs, team equipment and apparel, scholarships, and recruit visits. Here is how it works: you can sponsor the team with a pledge for each three pointer made throughout the season, or you can give a one-time flat donation of any amount. Usually the pledges are in increments of $0.50, with the average donation being $1.50/per 3 point basket made. In the past we have averaged between 115-130 three pointers a season.
We want you to be a part of our future success! If you would like to become a Run and Gun Club Member, please print and fill out the return form, and include a check if you are donating a flat rate. If you are pledging per made basket, fill out the form and send it back to us, and we will contact you after the season to give you the total. No matter what you donate, you will receive two free game tickets, and a schedule card. If you donate $1.00 or greater per three pointer, or a flat rate of $100.00 or more, we will send you a Run and Gun Club Member t-shirt as well.
